Categories are structured in a hierarchy. Normally, each category has just one parent category but may have many sub-categories.

An Extension:CategoryTree has been installed on this website. After installation (on any site) the Category tree can be viewed from the Tools menu --> Special Pages --> and select Category tree under the heading Lists of pages.
For convenience and quick reference the Category tree is also displayed here. The top level category in this website is Top Level.
