Customise the Main Page
The default main Page looks like this:-
Select Edit to view the default text:-
To start your own Main Page, simply delete the original text and write your own. But now you have a fundamental choice to make:-
Will you use wikitext or html (or perhaps a combination of both).
The mh370wiki.net site has no wikitext. All content is written with html tags. MediaWiki recognises most html tags so there is no immediate need to enable 'raw html'.
Retain the Default Main Page Title
It is best to retain the simple name Main Page for your main page; although it can be changed that step can introduce problems.
For example, when you log in to a MediaWiki site you should be directed to the Main Page which will, of course, open correctly. But on a version of the mh370wiki.net website the log in provokes a negative response:-
The Main Page link does open the correct Main Page, and the error only affects users who log in, so most people would not see this screen. The reason, and the fix, may be added here later. But the best way to avoid such an issue is to just leave the Main Page title and location unchanged, as default.
mh370wiki.net Main Page
Below is the mh370wiki.net website embedded within a iFrame. Initially the screen will display the Main Page for that website.
The visual appearance of this Main Page is significantly different from a default Vector.skin Main Page. This was achieved mainly by adding custom CSS to the MediaWiki:Vector.css page.

Note: MediaWiki will not recognise or display an iFrame unless $wgRawHtml = true;. The Extension:iFrame is not installed but could be used if you did not want to enable RawHtml.
